Notoplectron is a monotypic genus recorded only from the subantarctic Campbell Islands. The single small species is active at night on endemic megaherbs. The colour patterns in this species appear to be variable. A dark brown base is embelished with speckles and/or broad stripes in pale brown and nearly black. Like many other weta they forage on pollen when it is available.

Antennae: Relatively short and stout, thickly clothed with short setae.

Locality: Campbell Island, Tucker Valley, Jaquemart Island Notes: Male sub-genital plate bears two small tubercles, one either side of keel. Habitat: Moss on Dracophyllum trees, ex. Tussock, ex. Coprosma, moss, lichen, ex Lichen on Dracophyllum scoparium.
